Knife Awareness
Having the ability to assess a potentially dangerous situation and evaluate the threat of physical action is hard enough without having to worry about the added threat of a knife being involved.
With so many recent knife related fatalities in the UK, the Life Skills team have designed an additional session to the Life Skills programme dedicated to the subject of knife awareness.
This session is not about teaching how to defend against a knife attack, but how to assess the threat correctly and remove yourself from the incident before the knife is drawn.
Utilising techniques taught to Military personnel we have developed a simple session for children that will increase their chances of identifying an individual who is carrying a weapon.
