Having been within the personal safety and life skills development industry for 30 yrs, Gary has an extensive physical and mental knowledge of many combative styles from all around the world. Gary has travelled the world teaching in front of a variety of audiences including women’s groups, educational establishments, and personal safety conferences.

Over the past few years, Gary has been instrumental in developing a number of coaching programmes for the personal safety industry, which include leadership and life management tutoring.

Gary believes that there is a direct correlation between the teaching of personal safety skills and key leadership and success principles for life and business. “ When i first stepped into a training arena , i knew my life would never be the same again and that the martial arts would be the development tool to achieving all of my personal goals”.

Many of the core principles of the martial way benefit us in every aspect of our existence from grasping a true understanding  of key skills such as RESPECT, CONFIDENCE, DETERMINATION to learning valuable skills, which increase both the safety of ourselves and those around us.

Leaders are not born they are created, and the martial way educates individuals in those skills to step forward and be counted as the leaders within our communities.

Our society is increasingly becoming a more dangerous place to live in, so having a knowledge of those life skills that can reduce the possibility of becoming a victim, are essential to living a balanced and happy existence. An effective leader and life skills practitioner must value and respect themselves in order to be able to do the same to others. Increasing one’s safety is not about dedicating hours upon hours of time sweating in the local gym. It is about learning those skills that can be absorbed in minutes and appreciating that many of the key personal development skills such as confidence do not only benefit us in our day to day development but also assist us in increasing our safety.

After developing the Life Skills for Children programme, Gary has been busy presenting in front of an array of audiences on the importance of teaching young people the relevant life skills to provide them with the opportunity to be the best they can be.

Gary has dedicated a lot of time recently to providing key note speeches to corporate clients on the benefits of educating young people in the required skills to reduce the negative impacts on business related crime, which is costing millions of pounds each year.
