Teachers Personal Safety Training

With more and more teachers citing personal safety issues being the reason for them leaving the profession, the industry is seeking a solution to this very destructive problem.

Whilst deploying the Life Skills for Children course in several schools, the CPDT team (www.cpdtrainingco.com) witnessed first hand some of the distressing abuse teachers received at the hands of young people within their classes.
This led the CPDT to develop a personal safety course specifically for teachers.

The course is very much a preventative measures approach to personal safety and is primarily about educating teachers in some simple skills to assess a potential violent situation and avoid it.

As there are many complications attached to applying physical techniques to young people, a majority of the course is non-physical and provides teachers with practical solutions to remove the risk of injury without having to commit to complicated techniques.

Teachers that have experienced this course, have identified new and effective ways to increase their safety so that they can concentrate on the job of educating young people.
