LSFC & 3rd Lens Productions have joined forces to bring you the Young People are our Future project, which will educate, inspire and develop the creative side of local young people that will enable them to become the best they can be.

What is the Project

The recent Young People are our Future event for Children in Need was extremely successful and demonstrated that if we provide young people with the correct key life skills and the opportunities to develop their creative and inspirational sides we can make a positive difference to their lives.

The YPAOF project will educate young people in skills to increase their confidence, communication skills and ability to set and achieve goals. Once educated they will experience an array of workshops including filmography, dance, singing, theatre, sport etc. 3rd Lens productions will develop their creative side by working with them to produce media projects in around local activities.

The YPAOF web site will host a full timetable of events to be run in community centres around the city. These events will be driven by local groups including singing, dance and sport etc. Videos produced through the 3rd Lens workshops will be hosted on the site where the objective is to inspire young people to become the best they can be through the participation of positive activities

Get Involved

The recent Young People are our Future event provided evidence that locally we have all of the resources and experience to provide young people with a fantastic opportunity to grow safely, confidently and become positive members of the community.The next generation of community and business leaders are growing up today so it is our duty to inspire them to achieve great things. 

We already have a growing list of local groups who are keen to bring this project alive, however the more of us work together the more positive the outcomes will be.

We are specifically looking towards the business community to provide support for this project, after all providing young people with the right skills and belief system to achieve great things will reduce the negative costs attached to business related crime and increase the recruitment opportunities for future development.
